Delete your account

You can delete your Formation account and its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.

1. Delete it yourself in the app (fastest)

If you still have Formation installed, this happens immediately and you do not need to wait on us:

Open Formation, then go to Settings → Privacy & safety → Delete account.

2. Request deletion here

Use this if you have already uninstalled the app, lost access to your phone, or cannot sign in. Formation signs in by phone number, so we may need to confirm which account is yours before we delete it.

What gets deleted

Your profile, your garage and vehicles, your posts and comments, your messages, and your club, crew and convoy memberships are removed from our live systems.

Your live location is not part of this, because it was never stored. Positions travel over the encrypted realtime relay only and are never written to a database, log, or analytics event.

What we may keep, and why

Content preserved under a legal hold or an open moderation case, and records we are required by law to retain, are not removed by a deletion request. A hold always beats deletion, and deletion never lets someone erase content that is under review. Everything else goes.

How long it takes

In-app deletion is immediate. A request made through this page is normally actioned within 30 days of us confirming the account, and we email you when it is done.
